I love this recipe since I live in the very dry state of Colorado. It helps my hair deal with the natural dryness of the state and with all that heat I like to apply to it! I’m so thankful that I have cheap, natural, and easy-to-use recipes like this to use.
Great gift for ladies in your life! Store in a cute jar with a label and a ribbon!

Hot Oil Treatment for Dry Hair
Here’s another recipe for dry hair. Great for those that live in a dry climate or that have damaged hair. This recipe uses all same and natural ingredients and the overall cost of the recipe is very affordable!
Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 Teaspoons Jojoba Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 6 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 4 drops Rosemary and/or Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Essential Oil
Directions
In a saucepan bring water to a boil. Combine the Olive oil, Jojoba oil, and Coconut oil in a glass bowl. Set the glass bowl inside the boiling water. Be careful not to burn yourself!! Stir and allow the oils to melt and mix. Once melted and mixed, remove the glass bowl from the saucepan. Let the oil cool slightly and then add the essential oils.
Put a towel over your shoulders so that you don’t accidentally drip oil all over your clothes.
Dip your fingers into the oil (make sure the oil is not too hot first!). Massage the oil gently into your scalp and then work your way down the hair. Once you’ve used all the oil mixture cover your head with a shower cap and let the oil sit for 20 minutes.
Shampoo and Rinse. Repeat if necessary. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Rinse with cool water to seal and soother the hair.
